It's 1927 - did you check its copyright status?

Wasn't it released in 1927?

Do what you want.

Review all the films that I have uploaded and request that administration remove them. It makes no difference to me. I weary of minute and, many times, indeterminate status of a film. Inactivity and contradictions abound at IA regarding specific films.

My objective was to introduce many readers to obscure and very relevant examples of cinematic history. The selected films I considered safe and harmless of objection.

Maybe you will have more success than with "Thirteen Ghosts".

This is my last upload and participation.

Near the top of the Feature Films page you will see:
Do you want to post a feature film? First, figure out if it's in the Public Domain.

Since this is a film made in the u.s.a., you don't have to worry about GATT. All you have to do is look for a copyright renewal here.

The renewal would be filed about 28 years after the release date.

You've uploaded some nice things. Don't bail.

"The selected films I considered safe and harmless of objection."

Not one of the criteria.

I don´t like your attitude ...
you sound like... I do upload what ever I want ... clean behind me if you want to ...
this place is meant for works that are in the public domain ... not for file sharing

Yeah, that's why I hesitate to upload certain films I have. I have a copy of Paramount On Parade which lacks a valid copyright notice, but I don't believe the titles to be original (for one thing, Jesse L. Lasky's first name is spelled wrong!). The titles may have been put on years later for TV since it's the TV-edited version. So I'm keeping it off until/unless I find out any different.

He probably changed the year from 1927 to 1922 because he knew that a film released in 1922 is certainly in the public domain.

Does the movie lack a valid copyright notice?
